Every good endowment and every perfect gift is from above,
coming down from the Father of lights
with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.
James 1:17
As I have gotten older, I have learned one thing about myself. I do not enjoy big changes all that much. Really, not at all. But change is something that is a constant in this world. In the hustle and bustle of the day, change rolls in----in little or sometimes large waves.
O give thanks to the LORD, for He is good,
for His steadfast love endures for ever.
Psalm 136:1
But God does not change. He is THE constant in the midst of change. In the midst of routine. In the midst of joy. In the midst of sorrow.
How thankful I am for this truth. How much more I need to walk in and focus on this truth! To take my eyes of the seemingly hardness of change in my little corner of the world and to focus on Him and the constant that He is not only in my little corner of the world----but in all the world.
I am so thankful for His steadfast mercy and grace.
For I am the Lord, I do not change;
that is why you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed.
Malachi 3:6
